Control arm Bushings

Postby Goldenhonda » Sat Feb 13, 2010 7:02 pm

Hey guys i have a 2001 honda civic lx coupe. I took it to the dealer one time for a timing belt replacement and they told me my lower control arm bushing was cracked all the way. I dont get along with that dealership for big reasons and so now I want to do it myself but dont know if to replace the bushings or the whole control arms? what your opinion on the subject also if you guys can show me some picture of where the bushings are located that would be great.

If your going to do it yourself i would advise just replacing the whole setup cuz some of the parts on the control arm are pressed in pieces so you would have no choice but to take it to a garage to get those pieces replaced. besides if im not mistaken skunk2 makes a greal setup for your car check them out.
