Postby ricatandys » Thu Aug 27, 2009 1:38 pm

... I'm going for a major upgrade for my car, I have a 1994 del sol. And my two options are either to SWAP a k20 in it or turbo the GSR engine i have in it already...... what do you guys think... I know all motor might be more reliable but I really like the turbo sound...

turbo is pretty reliable with a good tune. TUNE is the key to a reliable setup.

Tuning will also maximize the potential of the setup.

I would agree with everyone else go turbo! You already have a GSR motor so why swap it? With the right set up and good tune the GSR motor will rock. Just dont chinse out do it right and it will be reliable!

I would turbocharge it. the del sols had wonderful motors, if tuned properly they were a power house. hope it goes well , good luck

turbo the current engine, but build your top end so it can handle the boost. replace all the seals and gaskets as well. And if you really want tget more boost when you do turbo bore and sleeve your pistons.
