Re: Favorite generation prelude?I am partial to the 1984-87 Prelude just for the fact that my race car is of those years. We have had great success with these cars on the track and would not trade them for anything. Great power and handling make these cars almost unbeatable on an oval track, even the 1992 Prelude has issues keeping up with its older sibling. Keep in mind we are running stock SOHC motors which is what the rule book allows.
Re: Favorite generation prelude?HI there. I figured i would stick with the Honda prelude forums and discusion on this website. Since i myself have owned two different preludes. Both were manual transmission vehicles. My first was a 1989 Prelude 2.0 SI. I had bought it for 400 dollars, and then began engine work on it. I managed to get it running again, and wow she was fast. Had a nice deep sound from the exhaust just purred. I gave her away and went to the army, and as I got out. I had to get another one this time i went with a 1999 prelude 2.2 vtec.and of course when you have a car this sexy, you need to go with the manual transmission. so between the two I have owned. I have to say that the last gen preludes are wickedly awsome...
Favorite generation prelude?I like both the 92-96 and 97+ body styles. The 88-91 is a little to boxy for my liking.
Re: Favorite generation prelude?I would say the latest gen is my fav..
Re: Favorite generation prelude?i'm actually a fan of the 92-96 models. please do not mess up the factory body style with an outrageous kit though. maybe a lip kit. keep it simple. less is more...
Re: Favorite generation prelude?92-96 are pretty nice with just a simple lip kit. No one likes the 88-91? Those bad boys have 4 wheel steering!
Re: Favorite generation prelude?i think the latest generation is great. im actually looking 4 a 2000 model
Re: Favorite generation prelude?Ive got a 93 prelude which I like alot. Ive got the R33 bodykit on it, It doesnt look all that bad with it on cuz i molded the kit to the car to make it seemless. But lip kits on the ludes are nice if your just going for the JDM look.
Re: Favorite generation prelude?i love my 4th gen, and what made me chose it over the 5th gen was the dash, i love having that lip there so i can set stuff on it. it also gives off the kool spaceship effect.
Re: Favorite generation prelude? My favorite was the '98 to 2001 or 2002. Stock exterior, it looks perfect as is. I really want a 2001 Sh. Rated best handling car under 30,000 dollars in 2002. But the 1986 model was nice too, really rare. I have an issue of Honda Tuning with one in the Grassroots section. If anyone has an h22a up for grabs give me a message, I'd love one for my Accord. Or a f20b...
